Our Story

Opened in June 2025, Triton Explorers may be a new dive centre to Espiritu Santo, Vanuatu, but it is founded on years of industry experience.

Owned and operated by Katie and Magnus—a duo with deep roots in the diving world. Katie is a Specialty Diving Instructor, technical diver, and passionate advocate for education and conservation. Magnus is a knowledgeable and experienced Technical Diving Instructor with a self-declared “lust for rust!”

Our mission as modern-day Tritons is to help divers from around the world explore Espiritu Santo’s waters safely and sustainably.

Our Commitment To

Standards & Safety

All our courses are taught to the world renowned standards of Scuba Diving International, Technical Diving International and First Response International. Who, thanks to their flexible structuring and amazing customer support, allow us to tailor our courses to individual diver needs. In turn making training more interactive, interesting and fun.

That being said, most Scuba training agencies comply with the same basic international safety standards set out by the WRSTC. Meaning we are happy to take divers from any of the associated agencies for guided diving and/or courses.

We are also a member of the Vanuatu Scuba Operators Association (VSOA) and all this entails.

Our Commitment To

The Environment

The underwater world obviously plays a huge role in our business but also in the lives of the people of Vanuatu. Therefore it is incredibly important to us, as a tourism operator, that we act sustainably. Not only protecting the ocean but building it up for future generations.

For that reason we commit to educating both locals and visitors about the oceans here in Vanuatu through our sponsorship and outreach programmes.

To get involved in these programmes yourself please get in touch with a member of our team to see how you can help.

Our Commitment To

Culture & Community

As a foreign-owned business in Espiritu Santo, we are deeply committed to giving back to the local community. Supporting and collaborating with local providers is a core part of how we operate—we believe in sharing opportunities and celebrating cultures to deliver the best possible experience for everyone.

From our dive guides to our reception team, our staff are proud locals with a lifelong connection to the ocean, bringing invaluable knowledge, skill, and authenticity to everything we do.

We also believe in inclusion and respect. At Triton Explorers, we don’t discriminate based on age, gender, race, or background—a diver is a diver. Everyone is welcome to work or be in the water with us!
