If your looking to reach new depths or explore cool caves and wrecks then your going to need to get trained in technical diving.
Through this intense and rewarding tutoring you will learn to extend past recreational dive limits whilst focusing on self-reliance and risk mitigation. So if you’re ready to commit then we have the courses to get you there.
With recreational Nitrox courses using blends of maximum 40%, Advanced Nitrox teaches us the physiology, planning and equipment condierations needed to take that all the way to 100%.
Often taught as ANDP in conjunction with Decompression procedures, these two courses form the foundation of tech training and serve as the first stepping stones into a completely new world of diving.
Age = 15
Certification = Nitrox
Experience = 25 logged dives
Once completed you will be certified to use Enriched Air Nitrox from 21-100% within your current certification to a maximum depth of 40m/130ft during dives that do not require staged decompression.
When we surpass No Decompression Limits (NDLs) we can no longer ascend straight to the surface. So to delve deeper or stay down longer requires training to manage stress, prepare for contingencies and plan staged decompression using specialist equipment and gases.
Often taught as ANDP in conjunction with Advanced Nitrox, these two courses form the foundation of tech training and serve as the first stepping stones into a completely new world of diving.
Age = 18
Certification = Advanced Adventure Diver
Experience = 25 logged open water dives
Once completed you will be certified to conduct planned decompression dives to a maximum depth of 45m/150ft.
Having got your head around the use of higher nitrox blends and staged decompression it’s time to add to your skills and understanding of deep air diving. In doing so enabling you to extend your range without having to get your hands on Helium.
Age = 18
Certification = Advanced Nitrox & Decompression procedures
Experience = 100 logged dives, 25 of which must be deeper than 30m/100ft
Once completed you will be certified to conduct planned decompression dives to a maximum depth of 55m/180ft.
Inert gas narcosis, caused by breathing oxygen and nitrogen under pressure, can cause a lot of problems, particularly on a tech dive. To combat this we can incorporate helium into the blend. However this doesn’t come without risk and so requires Heliox training to do so.
Age = 18
Certification = Advanced (with deep speciality) or TDI Intro to Tech and Advance Nitrox diver
Experience = 50 logged dives
Once completed you will be certified to conduct staged decompression dives utilising gas mixes with no more than 35% helium to a maximum depth of 45m/150ft.
The deeper we go, the more pressure we are under, the greater the effect of gases on our body. In the trimix course you will be taught how to utilise different blends including helium to extend your range to a depth of 60m/200ft.
Age = 18
Certification = Advanced Nitrox and Decompression Diver
Experience = 100 logged dives
Once completed you will be certified to utilise gas blends with as little as 18% oxygen an appropriate amount of helium for the dive plan to a maximum depth of 60m/200ft.
As the top level of training for open circuit divers the Advanced Trimix course is as challenging as it is informative. Giving you the skills to plan and execute dives using hypoxic oxygen levels to reach depths of 100m/330ft.
Age = 18
Certification = Advanced Nitrox & Decompression procedures
Experience = 100 logged dives, 25 of which must be deeper than 30m/100ft
Once completed you will be certified to dive to a depth of 100m/330ft utilising hypoxic levels of oxygen (below 17%).
